FAQs
Q: What kind of prints do you offer?
A: All our black and white images are available as Silver Gelatin prints and a select number are also available as limited edition, numbered Platinum Prints. We also offer a selection of limited edition, numbered color Dye Transfers for sale.
See: Types of Prints for more information about the various printing methods we offer.
Q: What sizes of prints do you offer?
A: Silver Gelatin Prints are available in four (4) sizes (8 x 10 / 11 x 14 / 16 x 20 / 20 x 24) whereas the limited edition, numbered Platinum and Dye Transfers Prints are only available in one size which varies depending on various factors. Currently these are the only sizes available.
NOTE: We show both the mat size and print paper size for each print we do sell. All prints have a border area that typically is anywhere from 1/2 inches up to 3 inches, hence the actual image size is always smaller then the stated print paper size.
Q: How long will my print order take to process and get shipped?
A: Silver Gelatin prints typically take two (2) weeks from the date of the order to be shipped. In certain cases a Platinum or Dye Transfer print may already be in stock. If so, customers will be notified and the print will ship sooner than the standard lead time. In the event of any delays beyond the typical lead time you will be notified via email.

Q: What shipper do you use?
A: MarshallPhoto.com exclusively ships with FedEx Express service or FedEx Home/Ground service.
Q: What countries do you ship to?
A: Currently we only sell items within the US (all 50 states but not Puerto Rico or other territories) via our credit card online system. We anticipate expanding this method to other countries starting in Spring 2009. However if you live outside of the US and are interested in placing an order, please contact us for more information. We most likely can take your order offline.
Q: How will my item(s) be shipped?
A: We securely pack all items to safely arrive at their destination. Prints are shipped via our free FedEx 2 Day service in oversized Tharco or ULine cartons with layers of bubble wrap and double-wall heavy duty cardboard layers protecting the print. Signed magazines and books are carefully surrounded in bubble wrap and packed in Tharco or ULine cartons. If the order total for magazines-books-posters exceeds $1000 they are also shipped via free FedEx 2 Day service. Otherwise they are shipped via FedEx Ground/Home. All items are insured for their full value.

Q: How should I take care of my print?
A: We highly recommend that you properly insure your purchase from MarshallPhoto.com. Consult with your insurance agent as to the proper level and type of coverage on your homeowners or renters policy. We also recommend having your print professionally framed and highly recommend using UV filtered plexiglass to protect the print. Also it is not advisable to hang the print in a place that receives direct sunlight.
Q: What form of payment do you accept?
A: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover cards. We can also accept a cashier's check, money order or personal check. If you would like to pay with a check, please contact us for assistance.
Q: I'd like to order a print from one of the images in Jim's books not on the site - is that possible?
A: Yes it is. Please contact us to send an email with the book and page number and the size you are requesting.
Q: What are your Sales terms?
A: Please note that all sales are final. See our Terms of Purchase for more detailed information.

Q: Do you collect sales tax?
A: Yes, only for sales made to customers who live within the State of California.
Q: Where are Jim's Print comments in The Collection sourced from?
A: They are usually quoted from his various books: Not Fade Away, Proof, and Jazz. However, due to the age of these quotes (going back to 1996), note that some details may have changed, such as whether a person(s) is still living, etc.
Q: How are details such as dates, locations, etc. determined for each Print?
A: Groovy Collectibles worked with Jim to review the information for each print and to ensure accuracy. Given that Jim's memory of events isn't always perfect, we've done our best to accurately identify the time and place the photograph was taken. In a few cases you may see a discrepancy in a date or location for example, and in those cases we are still researching the details.
Q: How do you grade the condition of your Collectibles (books/magazines/posters)?
A: We follow the IOBA (Independent Online Booksellers Association) standards.
